Hello everyone. I wanted to post my first message on the blog. I hope this site will allow black folk in the Central Valley (Bakersfield to Stockton) a new voice to express themselves.

Central Valley home grown, born in Stockton and raised in Fresno. After graduating from Edison HS and ventured out to UC Berkeley as Natural Science Resource major(huh??). After taking a short break back home, I realized I didn't want to married to a lab room. I soon enrolled at CSU Fresno as a business student. I hated the fact that I felt stuck in Fresno. Initially my goal was to leave Fresno May 18, the day after college graduation. But after seeing the need and potential of the Valley through a fellowship program through the Great Valley Center (www.greatvalley.org), I gained a greater love for Fresno. Does Fresno love me back? That's questionable.
